Vista Villa is about 10 minutes by car from Universal Studios Hollywood (about 7 to 8 miles; 15–18 minutes in typical traffic). It's a 4-bedroom pool home in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, that sleeps up to 10 including children, so two families or a multi-generation group can share one house and still get back to the pool between park sessions.

Park-day tips.
- Aim to arrive before the park opens; the first hour has the shortest lines.
- Super Nintendo World and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter are the busiest areas; go early or late in the day.
- The Studio Tour is a good pick for mixed ages and for the hottest part of the afternoon.
- Rideshare drop-off avoids parking-structure lines; if you drive, allow extra time at the gate.
- With the house 10 minutes away, a midday break at the pool is realistic, then head back for the evening.
- Horror Nights is busiest on Friday and Saturday nights; weeknights in September and early October tend to be lighter.
Getting there & parking.
How far is Universal Studios Hollywood from Vista Villa? About 10 minutes by car, about 7 to 8 miles, and 15 to 18 minutes in typical traffic. Most guests take the 101 (Ventura Freeway) east, or Ventura Boulevard through Studio City when the freeway is slow.
- Parking at the park is paid, in multi-level garages; check current options and rates on Universal's official site before you go.
- With 8 to 10 people, plan on two cars or an XL rideshare.
- Allow 15 to 20 minutes for parking or drop-off and the walk through CityWalk to the park gate.
- Rideshare skips the garage lines, and nobody has to drive home after a late night.
Halloween Horror Nights.
Halloween Horror Nights runs on select nights each fall, from September into early November. Check Universal's official calendar for this year's dates and the age guidance before you book tickets.
After a late night in the mazes, the house is a short drive back. The queen room's blackout drapes help the next morning, and quiet hours start at 10 PM, so plan on a calm arrival.
For families & groups.
